You've seen the young stars demonstrate their acting skills on the hit CW drama "Gossip Girl," but what you may not know is that some members of the cast are also talented musicians!
Cast members Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford, Blake Lively, Taylor Momsen, and Penn Badgley stepped out at the Ray-Ban Remasters event at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC on Tuesday, New York's Daily News reports.
The television actors aren't just music enthusiasts, however, Gatecrashers of the Daily News reveals that Westwick is the front man for the English band the Filthy Youth -- and his co-stars Taylor Momsem, and Leighton Meester are set to release their own albums.
Penn has heard a sample of Taylor's work and compares his on-screen sister to another popular artist.
"I've heard some of Taylor's, and I really like it," he says. "She sounds like Katy Perry."
Blake supports her co-stars musical efforts but will not be taking on any of her own music projects, saying: "Everybody on our cast is very musically talented, except for me."
Chace reveals that he prefers singing in the privacy of his own home.
"Do I sing in the shower? I'm sure I've had a 'Risky Business' moment or two," he jokes "But it's not really a recurring thing."
