Jonathan Jackson returns to the role of Lucky Spencer on "General Hospital" just in time to discover he is being betrayed by his fiancée Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) -- and his dad Luke (Anthony Geary) knows and hasn't told him!

"Luke is struggling to decide whether to tell his son or not," Tony tells ET. "Their relationship is quite volatile. I see that there is a train wreck about to hit the Spencer clan -- and that is always exciting in daytime: a lot of passion, a lot of hurt feelings and a lot of fighting. I love me some fights!"

"The upcoming stuff has to do with the inevitable reveal of that betrayal and what that is going to do their future, which is unknown and what that is going to do to the Spencer family as a whole," Jonathan adds.

There is a lot there for Luke and Lucky to deal with, so might Luke's ex and Lucky's mother Laura (Genie Francis) return to help them sort out the emotional mess?

"Genie has made several guest appearances through the years," Tony says. "Especially with Jonathan back, it would be great to have the old team together. We are hoping that that might happen."

Jonathan, who left the role of Luke 10 years ago, says he was shocked to get the offer from ABC to return, but he felt the time was right, plus "there was some extra motivation to work with Tony Geary again because that had definitely been in my heart for a long time."

A feeling that is reciprocated by Tony, who jokes that Jonathan will always be his "first born." He says, "I think it was a great decision for him to come back, and it was a great decision on ABC's part . For me it is like Christmas morning."

"General Hospital" airs weekdays on ABC.
