NBC Denies Rumors 'Jay Leno Show' Was Cancelled

Is "The Jay Leno Show" getting the axe? Rumors are ripe today that the former late night king of talk will be losing his 10 p.m. berth on NBC.
But an NBC spokesperson tells ET: "Jay Leno is one of the most compelling entertainers in the world today. As we have said all along, Jay's show has performed exactly as we anticipated on the network. It has, however, presented some issues for our affiliates. Both Jay and the show are committed to working closely with them to find ways to improve the performance."
NBC executives will be addressing this issue in more detail on Sunday when they meet with reporters at the Television Critics Association. Check back for updates.
