"The Bachelor" Jake Pavelka declared his love for Vienna Girardi and proposed marriage to her on Monday night's finale, but he tells ET that he's not rushing to the altar just yet.
"We just want to date," he says, explaining that he wants to take things slow with Vienna. "We haven't seen our first movie together yet. We have haven't been out to dinner yet."
Vienna agrees, telling ET, "We want some normalcy in our life and then we'll plan a [wedding] date."
As for whether Jake and Vienna will wed in front of the cameras, the couple says they're not ruling it out. "ABC and 'The Bachelor' franchise ... they introduced us. They're our family and whether there are cameras there or ... I have no idea, but we couldn't imagine getting married in a couple of years without our family," says Jake.
He continues, "This just felt so right and I'm sure getting married and planning a wedding will feel right. I don't know when that will be but we want to date, though. We want to really grow and bond."
Vienna reiterates, "We want to do it on our time when we're ready." The engaged couple tell ET that they will be living in Los Angeles while Jake competes on the upcoming season of "Dancing with the Stars."
