Melissa Etheridge put another dime in the juke box and rock n' rolled all night at the Hard Rock Café in NY for Grammy Artists Revealed. The intimate setting allowed the two-time Grammy winner to interact with her dedicated fans.
Besides performing, Melissa also opened up to the audience, telling the story of her rise to fame. She said the evening gave her an opportunity "to speak about the music and my experience in this business and kind of weaving the Grammy's in and out."
Melissa deemed it appropriate to host this special soiree in the Big Apple because "New York has always embraced my music from the very first album. Of all the cities I play in, I just love New York City. It's a real rock n' roll city."
Thirteen Grammy nominations and two wins into her career, Melissa is still reaching new heights. She recently found out she'll be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, reacting, "That is still sinking in because that's a little crazy. That's one of those big dreams when you walk down [Hollywood Blvd, you say,] 'Someday.' Putting your name in stone, that's kind of, 'Whew.'"
The celebrated rock star is also excited about her upcoming guest co-hosting gig on ABC's "The View" on Wednesday. That same night, she'll be making her big Broadway debut, joining the Tony Award-winning cast of Million Dollar Quartet. Melissa won't be settling down anytime soon. She'll be spending her summer on the road, touring in promotion of her tenth studio album "Fearless Love," in stores now.
