It's Usher and Justin Bieber's 'World'

June 23, 2010

Usher is back in a big way after a two-year break with his No. 1 hit "OMG" from his No. 1 album Raymond v Raymond -- and he's also riding high on the Justin Bieber phenomenon, appearing in Justin's hot new video, "Somebody To Love."

"The fanfare of what he is as a celebrity is only partial to what he ultimately will be as an artist," Usher tells our own Kevin Frazier of the Canadian teen phenomenon, whose second album, My World 2.0, has gone platinum.

The R&B star saw Justin singing on YouTube and took an interest in the young prospect, landing him a record deal -- and now Bieber Fever has taken over!

"The moment that I met Justin I saw that and then some," explains Usher. "You know, the 'then some' is what I'm continuing to nurture."

But Usher is quick to warn Justin of the trappings of overnight fame at such a young age, saying, "The one thing that I continue to encourage him on is don't believe it too much, because as there is success there are low [points]. Enjoy it -- but understand that life is a journey, and the story that is told is the one that you live through."

Justin kicks off his first headlining North American tour today at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. The "My World" Tour will blaze a trail through more than 40 cities before wrapping up in Atlanta, GA in December.
