Welcome to the ET News Feed program! This site contains all of the information that you'll need to start receiving daily news content from Entertainment Tonight.

CONTENT OVERVIEW
The ET feed contains hot headlines, daily features, and category stories. The hot headlines will change throughout the day and will be updated with breaking news stories to keep your readers up to date with the latest in entertainment news. The daily features may persist throughout the day and include more lasting elements, such as exclusive set visits, interviews with stars, and celebrity profiles or announcements. The category story elements may also persist throughout the day and include awards, fashion, movies, music, and television stories.

THE FEEDS
ET content is available in two different feed formats - XML and NITF. Both feeds are the same so participants are free to use whichever format best suits their needs. The feeds will be auto-published every 20 minutes and you are required to automate your system to get the feed at least 3 times per hour in order to pick up any changes or updates.

VIDEO
Many of the stories in the feed will contain related video content. We are providing a number of different options to make it easy to for the participants to display this content on their site. The videos will be available in Flash (flv) or Windows Media (wmv) format. Also, there is an embeddable player option and a link to a pop-up player provided by ETonline.com.

All video content will be hosted by ETonline.com and will need to remain in that environment at all times. If you plan to use the media links from the feed to display content in your own player, this content will have to be accessed remotely and not ingested into your content management system or hosted locally.

LAYOUT
You are free to layout the feed in a manner that best suits your site, however we require that clear and prominent ETonline branding appears around the content. Additionally, article pages need to attribute the content to ETonline.com and provide a link back to the ETonline web site. You can view examples of approved layouts in the "Layout" section.

PHOTO SIZES
Most items in the feed contain a single image in two different sizes. These sizes are typically 214x161 and 98x74 (image size can vary: images should never be wider, but the large image may be under 214 pixels wide and may be over 161 pixels high). You can resize these images to fit your individual needs. When scaling you are required to retain the same aspect ratio, so that the images don't appear distorted. No cropping or other alterations of the images are allowed.
