The heart wants what it wants.
Rachel McAdams and Rachel Weisz star in Disobedience, a forbidden love story with a twist. A new trailer for the upcoming drama was unveiled on Thursday, which shows the actresses taking their relationship to another level.
Directed by Sebastián Lelio, Disobedience follows Ronit (Weisz), a woman who returns to the community that shunned her decades earlier for her attraction to her childhood friend, Esti (McAdams). As they reunite, their passion reignites as they explore the boundaries of their faith and sexuality.
"Look at me, I have always been this way," McAdams tells her husband in despair after he finds out the two have rekindled their love.
Disobedience hits select theaters on April 27.
