The royal carriage has been chosen!

While we wait to hear what Kate Middleton will be wearing to her upcoming wedding to Prince William, we now know they will travel in the 1902 State Landau after they are named husband and wife.

The newly married couple will then travel along the Processional Route in the same carriage that William's parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, used after their 1981 service.

The Processional Route will take the couple from Westminster Abbey, where the vows will take place and then make stops at Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and finally The Mall to Buckingham Palace

In total, there will be four other carriages following Prince William and Middleton on April 29th.

The second and third carriages that will carry the Best Man, Maid of Honour and Bridesmaids will be Ascot Landaus.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh will follow in the fourth carriage which will be a Semi-State Landau.

Finally, a Semi-State Landau will carry Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles and Mr. and Mrs. Middleton.

It was also announced that in case of very wet weather, the couple will travel in The Glass Coach. The Glass Coach had been used for Lady Diana Spencer in 1981 and also Miss Sarah Ferguson used the carriage in 1986.

Prior to saying "I do," Miss Middleton and Prince William will travel separately using State Cars from the Royal Mews. While no car has been named the official choice, the collection includes two Bentleys, three Rolls-Royces and three Daimlers.
