First Lady Michelle Obama has given away the glamorous gown she wore last year to a number of balls commemorating President Barack Obama's inauguration.

Mrs. Obama donated her one-shouldered, white dress by Jason Wu to the Smithsonian Institute. The gown will be displayed at the National Museum of American History as part of an exhibit showcasing gowns worn by first ladies from Mamie Eisenhower to Mrs. Obama.

"I am very honored and very humbled, but I have to say that I’m also a little embarrassed by all the fuss being made over my dress," the First Lady said while presenting her gown to the museum on Tuesday. "Like many of you, I’m not used to people wanting to put things I’ve worn on display."

The 82nd Academy Awards wrapped up the awards season Sunday night and fashion-wise the one word that best describes the night's looks is: "Wow!" From Sandra Bullock to Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz, the Oscar ladies definitely were the most glamorous in years.

"The long gowns were fantastic -- the metallic and the shine," Allen B. Schwartz, the design director for ABS, tells ET. "It was incredibly great gowns, elegance and a real throwback to '40s glamour. I think we always hope for '40s Hollywood glamour, but last night you got it."

Allen's best picks of the night include Sandra, Jennifer, Penelope, Kate Winslet and Cameron Diaz. And the trends he saw included the one-shoulder asymmetrical look, the color red, and metallics and shine with a little bit of bling in a glamorous way.

ET's fashion guru Steven "Cojo" Cojocaru reveals his picks for best and worst dressed at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards -- and his choices may surprise you.

Starting out Cojo's best dressed list is Cameron Diaz coming in at No. 5 with her gold Oscar de la Renta gown. Cojo refers to the 'Shrek' actress' style as "grown up glamour."

Also on the best dressed list is 'An Education' starlet Carey Mulligan, fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker and "Big Love" actress Amanda Seyfried.

ET stylist Anya Sarre solves the mystery of how to dress like a million bucks without spending a million bucks!

Sherri Shepherd is trying the Oscars on for size! ET is with "The View" co-host and 'Precious: Based on the novel Push by Sapphire' actress as she seeks to find the perfect gown for the big night!

Shepherd sought out designer Carmen Marc Valvo to help her dress her best. The actress and TV personality will be showing her support for 'Precious' as it is up for six Oscars. She imagines what it will be like if the film wins for Best Picture, saying, "It's gonna look really good if they go, 'The winner is 'Precious,'' and I go, 'Here I am!'"

He's designed Oscar gowns for Renee Zellweger and Jodie Foster, and now designer to the stars Domenico Vacca offers up his Academy Award red-carpet predictions to ET stylist Anya Sarre.

Domenico has also dressed Mickey Rourke, Forest Whitaker, and Glenn Close for their Academy Award arrivals, and he predicts that we'll see a lot of color coming down the Oscar red carpet. In addition to colorful gowns, the designer is expecting to see over-the-shoulder styles, interesting draping and chiffon and silk fabrics.

Anna Kendrick talks to ET at the Costume Designers Guild Awards about her Oscar jitters and reveals who she's flying in for the big event!

"I'm excited to go to the Oscars and I'm certainly excited to be here," she says. The 'Twilight' star reveals who she's bringing to the Academy Awards. "I just got off the phone with my mom and brother to tell them that I got tickets for them and I'm going to fly them out."

Nominated for Best Supporting Actress ('Up in the Air'), this will be her first time at the Oscars.

For "Oscars Designer Challenge 2010," nine up-and-coming fashion designers debuted their creations Tuesday at a runway fashion show at the Academy's Beverly Hills headquarters -- all vying to have their evening gown worn on Oscar night by the escort model that brings the Oscar statuettes onto the Kodak Theatre stage.

Voting for the "Oscars Designer Challenge 2010" begins today at 5 p.m. PT at Oscar.com, running through March 1. Certain restrictions apply. The winning design will be announced during "Oscars Red Carpet… 2010," ABC's live arrivals show airing just before the big ceremony.

CBS is gearing up to give viewers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the world’s largest fashion celebration -- Fashion's Night Out 2010!

In a one-hour primetime special airing on CBS on Wednesday, September 15 at 8:00 p.m., cameras will follow celebrities, fashion designers, editors and retailers as they prepare to collectively celebrate fashion for a good cause.

"While New York City is the epicenter of this event," says CBS executive producer Susan Zirinsky, "cities all over the world took the baton last year and ran with it, and 2010 promises to be even bigger. The message is clear: responsible spending can breathe new life into the economy, and that means jobs. When asked by Glamour magazine what a lady should wear when on a date, he responds instantly with "Socks."

He elaborates, "Like, cute animal printed socks or something like that. ... Because nobody knows she's wearing them except her, and then she takes off her thigh-high boots and has those bunny socks under there and it's just like 'oh man.' It makes the mood lighter, it just gets you guys laughing."
