With only days left until 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' rises in theaters, ET is sitting down with the cast for a series of revealing interviews!

'A Single Man' was screened Thursday night during the Closing Night Gala of the American Film Institute Festival. The movie, based on Christopher Isherwood’s novel, marks fashion designer Tom Ford’s directorial debut.

Tom told ET, "It's the kind of thing that you dream about. You're not sure if it'll ever really happen and then when it does, it's absolutely surreal." New to the process of movie-making, he admitted, "Editing surprised me. It wasn't hard, I loved it, but I really...didn't understand what could happen in an editing room."

Colin Firth, who plays the lead character George, received a BAFTA Award for Humanitarianism directly after the screening. Tom praised the star, saying, "Colin as an actor, he is so subtle and nuanced and he can communicate without moving a thing on his face. He can really telegraph what his character is feeling and I think he inhabited this role beautifully…"

The British Academy of Film and Television swam to the other side of the pond to honor some of Hollywood's leading talents at the BAFTFA/LA Britannia Awards on Thursday night.

Governor Arnold Schwarzennegger had the honor of presenting the legendary Kirk Douglas with the Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment. Douglas offered advice to aspiring actors, saying, "Stay out of acting. It's too difficult. But, if you must be an actor, give it your all."

Actor Colin Firth, who was honored for his humanitarian efforts, had such a busy night, rushing from a screening of his film 'A Single Man' to the awards, "I forgot my pants. We had to go back across town," he revealed to ET. He was happy to report that the film was "warmly received." It was his "first time ever at an event at the Chinese Theater, which is quite something. I've never been there for any other reason than…when I was a kid I went and put my hand in John Wayne's handprint."

Kevin Bacon and Jonathan Rhys Meyers are teaming up for a new comedy, 'Whole Lotta Sole,' which is set to film in Belfast, Ireland in 2010.

'Sole' finds Rhys Meyers playing a thief whose attempt to plunder a fish market leads him to take Bacon's character hostage. Rhys Meyers has to stay one step ahead of both the police and a local gangster.

Jay Russell ('My Dog Skip') has signed on to direct a script written by Terry George ('Hotel Rwanda') and Thomas Gallagher. Russell said of the project, in part, "This is a great comedy project, not like Terry's usual political fare. It's very exciting to have one of the best young actors today, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, teamed up with one of the greats, Kevin Bacon."

ET is with Eva Mendes at the Hollywood premiere of her new film 'The Bad Lieutenant: Port Of Call New Orleans' and the actress describes this film as ironically funny and her character as flawed and layered.

Directed by film great Werner Herzog, 'The Bad Lieutenant' follows the drug and gambling riddled detective Terence McDonagh (Nicolas Cage) as he investigates the killing of five Senegalese immigrants in post-Katrina New Orleans.

Actress Jennifer Coolidge plays what she calls a "bloated alcoholic" in the movie and reveals to ET that her costar Eva is one tough woman. "I was so exhausted after fighting with Eva because she's really strong, and we had to fight over some drugs in a purse," Jennifer describes a scene from the movie. "She tired me out. ... She has more energy than I have."

Chills and thrills abound as ET joins Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and writer/director Richard Kelly on Wednesday night at the New York premiere of their new psychological thriller, 'The Box.'

"They [had] really wonderful chemistry," Richard says of Cameron and James, "and it's rare to find two actors who just fit together like that, almost instantaneously."

In 'The Box,' opening this Friday, the stars play a couple who receive a mysterious wooden contraption: One that can grant them instant riches with the push of button, but will take a complete stranger's life in exchange.

Are Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson involved in a real-life romance? ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ star is speaking out about the hot topic in a new interview.

“There’s no answer that’s not going to tip you one way or the other. Think about every hypothetical situation: ‘Okay, we are. We aren’t. I’m a lesbian.’ I’m just trying to keep something,” Kristen tells EW.com about her off-screen relationship with Rob. “If people started asking me if I was dating Taylor, I’d be like, ‘F— off!’ I would answer the exact same way.”

“I probably would’ve answered it if people hadn’t made such a big deal about it,” she adds. “But I’m not going to give the fiending an answer. I know that people are really funny about ‘Well, you chose to be an actor, why don’t you just f—ing give your whole life away?! Can I have your firstborn child?’”

According to the ancient Mayan calendar, a cataclysmic event will occur on December 21, 2012. This armageddon-esque event is chronicled in the film '2012,' which premiered Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Stars of the movie disclosed to ET what their plans are for that impending date.

John Cusack said, "Roland [Emmerich], the director, had a good idea. He said we should try to go skiing, so if we're up on top of the mountain, we'll see the wave coming."

The actor further explained the premise of the film. "I know the Mayan calendar was a great sundial and it was also one of the most intricate time calendars there was, so all those pyramids were…sort of time machines that would tell you exactly on the day or the month or the year…so on that date, it just stops."

Patrick Dempsey talks about why he races, what he really thinks of "Grey's Anatomy" and his world-famous nickname, "McDreamy."

Speaking about his love for the racetrack, he tells Los Angeles Confidential Magazine in this month's issue, "I think speed is only good if you can control it and channel it properly -- that’s a real challenge in racing...it’s a great escape for me."

As for the nickname on "Grey's Anatomy," the actor says it's a blessing and a curse. "It's a double edged sword," he tells the mag. "This will be my legacy. I will be McDreamy."

After the curtain went down on Tuesday's performance of  "A Steady Rain" on Broadway, Hugh Jackman and wife Deborah-Lee Furness enjoyed "a half date night" as they celebrated the DVD release of 'Valentino: The Last Emperor,' said the actor.

Legendary clothing designer Valentino is known for dressing the stars for the red carpet, but this time he was the star of the carpet. He told ET that he has finally "accepted the success" of his career and film. Originally, he humbly admitted, "You never like when they do something about you and you are always a little scared…thinking it is too much."

He reached this epiphany when the documentary was screened at the Toronto Film Festival. He recalled, "They were a really good audience. They were really, absolutely enchanted about the film." 'Valentino: The Last Emperor,' a full length feature which documents the life and career of the creative genius, is now available on DVD and Blu-ray.

ET's with Jim Carrey, his girlfriend Jenny McCarthy and more for the world premiere of Disney's 'A Christmas Carol' in London’s Leicester Square, where Jim dishes about his festive animated film and hilarious holiday memories.

"When you get a chance to do great literature with an amazing cast … and a director with a vision and a track record of doing beautiful stories, you’ve just got to count your lucky stars," Jim tells ET.

"His performance is a tour de force. He’s the best Scrooge ever," raves director Robert Zemeckis.

It's been announced that funnymen Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin will co-host the 82nd Academy Awards.

"I am happy to co-host the Oscars with my enemy Alec Baldwin," Martin said jokingly in a statement.

Alec also expressed excitement for the star-studded gig.

Kate Hudson gets candid in a new interview about rumors she is engaged to Alex "AROD" Rodriguez, losing 20 pounds off her already trim frame, and whether she'd ever get Botox.

She tells Elle UK magazine about a ring spotted on her right hand that provoked rumors among certain publications, "'Did you know that it was this one, on my right hand," she explains to the reporter. "I hear about this and I'm like, 'Why would I even respond? What would I say if you're going to lie about something ridiculous?' And if you really did your job, you'd look at the pictures taken that day and realize [the ring] was on my right hand."

She also reports that she's losing 20 pounds for a role playing a terminally ill woman, but says, "I'm pretty solid, actually. I'm not, like, 110 pounds. But I'm probably heading towards that."

Owen Wilson is going canine in 'Marmaduke.' The actor has signed on to voice a great dane in the movie adaptation of the classic comic strip, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

'Marmaduke' follows the Winslow family as they relocate from Kansas to Orange County with their dog who stirs up trouble wherever he goes. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marmaduke battles a war between mutts and pedigree dogs. He falls for the purebred of his fantasies and has to overcome a fall from grace.

The movie, which will be live-action/CG, stars Judy Greer, Lee Pace, and William H. Macy as the humans. Fergie, Emma Stone, George Lopez, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Steve Coogan, Damon Wayans, and Marlon Wayans join Owen Wilson behind the mic by lending their voices to the animated characters. 'Marmaduke' is expected to play fetch with audiences in June 2010.

ET's Kevin Frazier sat down with Sandra Bullock and the stars of 'The Blind Side' -- and the real-life people whose touching story inspired the film!

'The Blind Side' may look like a football film, but it is really the story about the remarkable Tuohy family from Memphis and how the love and support they express for each other changes their lives -- and the life of the teenager they adopt.

'The Blind Side' finds Sandra as a well-to-do, conservative suburban woman who takes in a homeless African-American teen (newcomer Quinton Aaron) from a broken home to help him fulfill his potential. Faced with all-new challenges, the young man discovers a natural ability playing football and becomes an All-American offensive left tackle with NFL prospects.

Katie Holmes' new film role has her in a love triangle with "True Blood" star Anna Paquin and Hollywood hottie Josh Duhamel.

The actress is set to play Laura in the film 'The Romantics' that follows eight friends from college who reconnect at a wedding, Variety reports. Paquin plays the bride and Holmes' plays her best friend and maid of honor who also has a romantic past with the groom (Duhamel).

Other recognizable actors to star in the film include Malin Akerman, Elijah Wood, Adam Brody and Jeremy Strong. The movie will begin shooting this week in New York and, according the trade publication, Holmes will have her first producing credit on the film.

'Twilight' hunk Robert Pattinson is making new comments about his real-life relationship with his onscreen love Kristen Stewart.

Pattinson tells Vanity Fair that he and Stewart are "good friends" and also says, "I think she's the best young actress around."

'Twilight' director Catherine Hardwicke explains the chemistry between Pattinson and Stewart: "What Rob and Kristen had is a multitude of feelings for each other. Complex feelings for each other. It was what we needed. Complex, intense fascination."
