After tossing around the ol' pigskin in 'Leatherheads,' GEORGE CLOONEY is now setting his sights on goats! He'll star in the absurdist, paranormal-themed flick 'Men Who Stare at Goats,' Daily Variety reports.

The film adapts a British journalist's book about the U.S. Army's First Earth Battalion's supposed attempts to harness supernatural powers and -- perhaps you guessed it -- kill goats by merely staring at them.

ET confirms the news that 'Superbad' star JONAH HILL is in talks to develop, star in and executive produce a movie version of '21 Jump Street.'

The actor is a departure from the likes of JOHNNY DEPP, who rose to fame playing an undercover cop posing as a high school student in TV series, which ran from 1987-1991.

Best known for his comedic turns in JUDD APATOW films -- Jonah also appeared in 'The 40 Year Old Virgin' and 'Knocked Up' -- this will be the actor's first opportunity to write and produce a feature.

Only months after winning an Oscar® for playing a ruthless oilman in 'There Will Be Blood,' DANIEL DAY-LEWIS may star in a new musical, according to Variety.

The trade reports that Day-Lewis is in talks to play the role of Guido Contini, which was originally to have been played by fellow Oscar-winner JAVIER BARDEM.

The ROB MARSHALL-directed musical, based on FELLINI's '8 1/2,' is set to co-star none other than Oscar winners NICOLE KIDMAN, SOPHIA LOREN, JUDI DENCH and MARION COTILLARD and Oscar nominee PENELOPE CRUZ. Day-Lewis' character would be a movie director who juggles relationships with the five women he's closest to.

ET is with 'Kung Fu Panda' star JACK BLACK in Cannes as he talks all things ANGELINA JOLIE (his co-star) and his favorite things about being in the south of France -- including one very interesting entree!

The who's who of Hollywood is crossing the pond to France for the year's biggest film festival! The 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival kicks off today with JULIANNE MOORE's new film 'Blindness,' from the 'City of God' director FERNANDO MEIRELLES.

The film, adapted from the JOSE SARAMAGO's novel, tells the story of a doctor's wife who witnesses a plague of blindness taking over the world.

Joining 'Blindness' in the main competition is the CLINT EASTWOOD-directed drama 'The Changeling' starring ANGELINA JOLIE (who is also there to promote 'Kung Fu Panda'); 'Two Lovers,' starring GWYNETH PALTROW and JOAQUIN PHOENIX; STEVEN SODERBERGH's 4 1/2-hour epic 'Che,' starring BENICIO DEL TORO as controversial revolutionary CHE GUEVERA and CHARLIE KAUFMAN's 'Synecdoche, New York,' starring PHILIP SEYMOUR HOFFMAN.

MATTHEW McCONAUGHEY will be riding big waves at the box office this summer in 'Surfer, Dude' according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The beach-loving stud is right at home in the new comedy, which will focus on more than just beach bods and surf boards. Matthew is more than meets the eye as the titular character, who is in the midst of a life crisis.

With filming wrapped, Anchor Bay Entertainment plans to release the film in theaters by late summer.

NICOLAS CAGE is set to play a cop with some serious ethical shortcomings in 'Bad Lieutenant.' The film, to be directed by WERNER HERZOG ('Rescue Dawn'), will be an updated remake of the 1992 crime drama starring HARVEY KEITEL, according to Daily Variety.

In the original flick, Keitel's lewd lawman did infinitely more drugging, gambling, shagging and pilfering than policing -- and for those merits, the film received an NC-17 rating.

But before Cage dons his 'Bad Lieutenant' badge, he'll explore a different dark side, that of a hitman in 'Bangkok Dangerous,' out this August.

SYLVESTER STALLONE's new 'Rambo' DVD hits shelves May 27, and while promoting the film's premiere in Japan, the veteran action hero grabbed the opportunity to address the Myanmar government's injustices in the wake of the cyclone disaster that has killed and displaced thousands.

"I think what's going to come out of this devastating cyclone, and the fact that our film has made the violence that these people live under [much more apparent] ... there's going to be great social change in that country because they can't hide any more," said Sly, according to Reuters.

More than 20,000 people have been reported killed and more than 40,000 are still missing after the cyclone hit. The former country of Burma's current regime is being accused of indifference to the disaster, and they have blocked significant aid from other countries, including the United States. More than 1.5 million people now face hunger and disease. In 'Rambo,' Stallone's iconic hero takes on Burma's military ranks in a mission to rescue a group of captured Christian aid workers.

Not On Our Watch, the non-profit founded by Hollywood heavyweights GEORGE CLOONEY, DON CHEADLE, MATT DAMON and BRAD PITT, is providing $500,000 to victims of Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar. 

The group will give $250,000 to Save the Children for relief efforts to suffering children and families following the cyclone that struck the country early this month, leaving tens of thousands dead and hundreds of thousands suffering.   

Not On Our Watch will also match with a $250,000 contribution of its own for the relief effort, which has been hampered by the Myanmar military government's reluctance to allow aid workers into the country.

Now, the highly anticipated follow-up film, 'The X-Files: I Want To Believe,' is primed to hit theaters on July 25, and only ET's KEVIN FRAZIER is behind the scenes with reunited stars DAVID DUCHOVNY and GILLIAN ANDERSON, back as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully!

TYLER PERRY is the envy of Hollywood. His movies, such as 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' and 'Madea's Family Reunion,' regularly open at the top of the box office; his films have earned a quarter-billion dollars in the U.S. alone; he has his own production studio in Atlanta; and he's just been listed in Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People issue, out now.

But it wasn't always easy for Tyler, who tells ET's KEVIN FRAZIER that the odds were stacked against him growing up in New Orleans, and he even considered suicide during his rags-to-riches journey.

"People would tell me, 'You'll never make it because you're black,' or, 'You'll never make it because you're poor,'" recalls Perry. "It's pretty phenomenal coming out of the situation I did, to get to a place where you're celebrated."

AUDRINA PATRIDGE is going from cable to the big screen, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"The Hills" star will make her feature film debut in 'Into the Blue 2,' a follow-up to the JESSICA ALBA treasure hunt thriller.

She will reportedly play a "no-nonsense, beautiful beach babe whose boyfriend caters to her every command."

According to Variety, NATALIE PORTMAN has dropped out of the upcoming big-screen adaptation of the EMILY BRONTE classic Wuthering Heights.

Portman has reportedly exited the film due to a scheduling conflict with a so-far unannounced project.

Meanwhile, the actress is gearing up for her directorial debut with an adaptation of AMOS OZ's memoir, A Tale of Love and Darkness.
