ET confirms that Shannen Doherty is returning to her famed zip code! Gabe Sachs, executive producer of '90210,' tells us that the actress will reprise her character Brenda Walsh in a guest role.

On the highly anticipated "Beverly Hills, 90210" spinoff, West Beverly Hills High School has approached Brenda -- last seen headed to London to study acting -- to return to her alma mater as a guest director for the school's musical production.

As previously announced, Jennie Garth returns as Kelly Taylor, now a West Beverly guidance counselor; Tori Spelling returns as Donna Martin, now owner of an upscale boutique, and Joe E. Tata returns as Nat, owner of The Peach Pit.

With the news that William Petersen will be leaving the hit CBS show 'CSI' after the upcoming season's 10th episode, there's been wide speculation who would fill the post. Now, CBS Entertainment President Nina Tasler reveals to ET what big names they've considered.

Tasler says that big-screen star John Malkovich and Laurence Fishburne of 'The Matrix' fame are two of the names the network had considered for the role. Now that those names have come and gone from discussions, she said that "Moonlight" star Alex O'Loughlin would be someone they would consider.

Dennis Farina plead no contest to carrying a weapon into a secured area, the Los Angeles Superior Court tells ET.

The "Law & Order" star was arrested in May on suspicion of carrying a concealed weapon after police say they found a .22-caliber handgun in his briefcase as he tried to pass through security at LAX airport.

A former Chicago officer for 19 years, Farina was "apologetic and cooperative" and allegedly told authorities he forgot he was carrying the weapon.

ET has learned that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" has been picked up for a third season. The reality show has proved popular among women18-34.

"E! viewers have embraced the Kardashian family and the series has become one of television's most talked about shows," Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Series Development Lisa Berger tells ET. "We are fortunate to work with [Ryan] Seacrest and Bunim-Murray who have an exceptional ability to capture the Kardashians' hilarious, chaotic and always entertaining personalities and family dynamics. There is never a shortage on drama and we are certain the new season will be another wild ride."

The third season will debut at the beginning of next year.

Reaction continued to pour in from Emmy-nominated stars following the announcements made this morning. 

America Ferrera, star of "Ugly Betty," said she finds it "exciting" and "fun" to be recognized by peers for her work on the hit ABC show.

Charlie Sheen, nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series for "Two and a Half Men," reacted to the news by expressing admiration for the show's other nominees. “I’m extremely proud of our show. I’m flattered and honored to be nominated, and as usual, I am more excited for my fellow 'Two and a Half Men' nominees.”

America Ferrera made the list again for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series with her performance on "Ugly Betty," which earned her the trophy last year. She is joined by fellow funny ladies Mary-Louise Parker, ("Weeds") Tina Fey, ("30 Rock") Christina Applegate ("Samantha Who?") and Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("The New Adventures of Old Christine").

Their male counterparts include the hilarious Tony Shalhoub ("Monk"), Steve Carell ("The Office"), Lee Pace ("Pushing Daisies"), Alec Baldwin ("30 Rock") and Charlie Sheen ("Two And A Half Men").

"Opportunity Knocks" isn't the first game show that Ashton Kutcher has done, but it is the first one he tried out on his family. The premise is to visit a family in their hometown and then test them on how well they know each other.

"I don't know if I would do well," the former "That '70s Show" star admits. "There are some things I know, but I am not very good with dates. It takes me 20 minutes to remember my anniversary. If I got the right questions, I would do well."

Since he began work on the show, Ashton says it has encouraged him to learn more about the people he spends every day with. And that is something he feels that wife Demi Moore is great at.

Earlier this month, ET reported the news that former "Friends" and "Dirt" star Courteney Cox was joining "Scrubs" when the series makes its move to ABC. Courteney will be playing the new Chief of Medicine at the show's fictional Sacred Heart Hospital.

At a press conference to promote the new season, executive producer Bill Lawrence had the following to say about her role: "Right now while we are here doing this, Courteney is back at the hospital with her face jammed into a fake bloody corpse in a fantasy as if she lived inside some guy's stomach. We literally said, 'Courteney, see you tomorrow.' And with gunk all over her face, she said, 'See you tomorrow.'"

And series star Zach Braff, who just met Courteney for the first time on Monday, says, "She is really doing a great job of getting right up to speed with the rest of us who have been a family for so long. Some of the guest stars we have had over the eight years aren't as courageous and haven't been able to jump in so fast and get up to speed. We have her doing some really goofy stuff. As Bill said, she is stuck in someone's body right now. She is laughing a lot and having a blast."

ET is with "Grey's Anatomy" star Eric Dane as he addresses the rumors that his co-star Katherine Heigl's character may be written off the hit ABC show.

He also talks about Heigl's controversial Emmy comments, saying "she's entitled to her own choices and she makes her own decisions" but adding that he has a "great working relationship" with the actress.

Katie Holmes is going back to her television roots! ET confirms the actress will guest star on "Eli Stone."

Stephen McPherson, President of ABC Entertainment, tells us today that Katie was fabulous! "It is great. First and foremost it is a reunion for Katie and [exec producer] Greg Berlanti. I was at the table read. She was fabulous. It is a great role for her. There is some singing and dancing she does. She is exquisite. For a show we creatively believed in and had a tough launch because of the strike, it is a great promotionally for us. Greg came to me because he had an idea. We are excited because we are shooting it over the next couple of days."

"We were talking about the beginning of the season," Greg adds. "And we wanted to bring eyeballs to the show and get people who haven't seen the show...and I said, I can go and ask Katie. I went and begged her. We talked a little bit about her role...It is not a one scene-two scene role; she has a significant role."

The rumors are true! Michael J. Fox will return to TV in a four-episode guest stint on Denis Leary's FX firefighting drama, "Rescue Me," the Associated Press reports.

According to the AP, Fox will play a wheelchair-bound new boyfriend of Tommy Gavin's (Leary) estranged wife Janet (Andrea Roth). The 'Back to Future' star's character will first appear on the show's fifth season premiere, hitting small screens in spring of 2009.

FX president and general manager John Landgraf tells the AP that Fox, 47, is "really excited about the part."

Newlywed Olivia Newton-John talks about her new project "Sordid Lives: The Series," in which she plays the big-haired, tattooed Bitsy Mae Harling, a person she says is completely opposite from herself.  

"Sordid Lives: The Series" premieres on the gay and lesbian-oriented Logo Network on July 23. 

It looks like champagne dreams and caviar wishes when the 16 new designers hit New York City for the highly anticipated fifth season of "Project Runway," premiering on Bravo on Wednesday, July 16 at 10 p.m. But as quickly as the bubbles burst in their champagne glasses, the designers are rudely woken up by their series mentor Tim Gunn, who gets them up and out for their first challenge.

"I feel as though we set the bar higher every season," says host and judge Heidi Klum. "We've got some truly talented, innovative and deeply creative designers this year, and I think it's fair to say, the most diverse -- everyone from a rocker chick who mostly works with leather to a more bohemian, surfer boy -- and everything in between."

"Season after season the designers have amazed us," adds Tim Gunn. "They have different DNA, different chemistry with each other and different views -- their creative aptitude is right on par -- but how to characterize them? That's up to the audience!"

Singer-actress Olivia Newton-John shares her thoughts on her recent low-key marriage to businessman John Easterling and reveals her plans to take some time off next year to focus on her family and spend more time working on charitable and environmental efforts. 

She also talks about her new project "Sordid Lives: The Series," in which she plays the big-haired, tattooed Bitsy Mae Harling, a person she says is completely opposite from herself.

ET confirms that after eight seasons, William Petersen is leaving the hit CBS drama "CSI," but sources tell ET this does not signal the end of the series, which continues to be one of the top rated shows on CBS.

The actor, who plays detective Gil Grissom, will exit the show at midseason, with the 10th episode of the upcoming season being his last as a regular cast member.

"For me, it's a really good situation," Petersen tells Entertainment Weekly who first reported the story. "I don't want the audience to think it's NOT... [It isn't] like there's something going on, like 'Petersen's unhappy,' 'cause it's not true. It's quite the contrary. "

It was just one year ago today that Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn were married at their home in California, but for their first wedding anniversary, Rebecca is in New York shooting "Ugly Betty," while Jerry is in Los Angeles promoting his new FOX series, "Do Not Disturb" at the Television Critics Association press tour.

"We don't spend much time apart," says Jerry, who adds that he is returning to the East Coast tonight -- and he did give her a gift of jewelry.

"Nothing crazy. It's moderately priced because I am still paying off the wedding," he kids. "I put [the wedding] on layaway, which seemed like a good idea at the time."
