Scandal and How to Get Away With Murder are staging an epic TGIT crossover event this season, with the show's leading ladies, Kerry Washington and Viola Davis, sharing the screen for the first time, ABC announced Wednesday.

Washington and Davis teased the crossover on Wednesday morning, posting photos on Instagram from the set of the other's show, prompting fans to speculate that something big was brewing.

Washington shared a pic of herself in character as Olivia Pope sitting on a bench outside the courtroom on the HTGAWM set, writing in the caption, "Hey Ms @violadavis ❤️ check it out. This spot look familiar?! Where are you?"

Davis joined in, posting her own photo of herself rocking a full Annalise Keating outfit on the Oval Office set of Scandal. "Hey @KerryWashington, guess where I am?!"

This marks the first time both shows have staged a crossover and we're betting there will be many OMG-worthy moments between Olivia and Annalise. Also of note, the Scandal crossover episode was directed by series star Tony Goldwyn.

Though an official airdate has not yet been released, according to reports, the crossover event will air sometime in the spring.

Scandal, in its seventh and final season, and How to Get Away With Murder, in its fourth season, return Thursday, Jan. 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT and 10 p.m. ET/PT, respectively, on ABC.
