The Kentucky Derby is more than just fast horses and fancy, fabulous hats -- it's also a great place to people watch! 

Beyonce, JAY-Z and their kids -- 6-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and 10-month-old twins Rumi and Sir -- watched the Kentucky Derby from the ultra-exclusive "The Mansion" section above Millionaire’s Row at Churchill Downs in Louisville on May 5. 

Taylor Kitsch was on hand to help Ram Trucks rev up for its ninth year as the Official Truck of Churchill Downs and the Kentucky Derby.

With wife Cassandra Jean by his side, Stephen Amell got surprised during Kentucky Derby weekend with an early birthday cake during the 8th Annual Fillies & Stallions Party, hosted by Patron and Black Rock Thoroughbreds, at Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center. The Arrow star officially turned 37 on May 8.

Amell wasn't the only one celebrating a birthday. Rapper Desiigner rang in his 21st with a release party for his EP, L.O.D., at Up&Down NYC on May 3.

Meek Mill turned 31 alongside friends at David Grutman’s Komodo restaurant in Miami, taking over the entire first floor and toasting with Perrier Jouet Champagne and Tequila Avion Reserva 44 shots.

Blindspot actress Jaimie Alexander celebrated a friend’s birthday at Lucky Strike in Philadelphia on May 5, spending a few hours bowling and enjoying bites like margarita pizzas, chicken bites, chips and guacamole, and Brussels sprouts.

Jessica Alba looked pretty in a yellow floral dress and sunrise tassel earrings by Flaca Jewelry while celebrating her recent birthday (she turned 37 on April 28) with a Cinco de Mayo weekend celebration.

Whitney Port celebrated Cinco de Mayo a little early, making an original margarita with Cointreau to get in the spirit of the holiday.

On the party scene, Vanderpump Rules stars Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz took in the scene in Sandoval’s home turf of St. Louis, Missouri, hitting up Crown Room in Ballpark Village on May 5.

Ty Dolla $ign and Lauren Jauregui were seen dining at TAO LA before heading up to the Highlight Room atop the Dream Hollywood Hotel to kick off the "Superficial Summer Series” on May 3. Across the alley at Beauty & Essex, Johnny Manziel helped his wife, Bre Tiesi, celebrate her birthday before the two headed up to the roof.

On May 6, Ludacris closed out the weekend at LIT Sundays at Daylight Beachclub at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas with an epic performance of his classic hits, including “What’s Your Fantasy” “How Low” and “Saturday.”

Also in Sin City, Gordon Ramsey met up with Marshmello after the DJ's set at Encore Beach Club's Nightswim season grand opening party on May 10, sharing a pic to Instagram afterward. "I thought marshmellos were for dessert....great set last night @marshmellomusic Gx #vegas," the celebrity chef wrote.


Emmy Rossum took in Spotify's exhibit celebrating the life of David Bowie at the Brooklyn Museum on May 7.

Tori Kelly was a ray of sunshine at Project Sunshine's 15th Annual Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City on May 3, where she performed an acoustic version of “Don't You Worry 'Bout a Thing” for guests at the event, which raised more over $1 million for the non-profit’s efforts in creative expression, socialization and learning for children.

Also giving back, Goo Goo Dolls frontman John Rzeznik and Heart’s Nancy Wilson performed their hits during Orange County Music & Dance's charity concert. The event benefited the non-profit community performing arts school, a place that allows underserved youth musicians to experience performing with rock stars and world-famous classical musicians.

And Debra Messing took part in National Teacher Appreciation Day on May 8, helping Crayola launch its “Thank a Teacher” initiative by giving a heartfelt tribute to her high school drama teacher, Jim Metcalfe, whom she said was “the first person who wasn’t my mother that validated my dream.”
