William Shatner joins Mary Hart on the ET stage and dishes all about his brand-new sitcom, "$#*! My Dad Says," premiering Thursday night on CBS.
Bill was in a great mood in Studio Four while talking about his new show, in which he plays a cantankerous father who's constantly shocking his family. The show is based on the popular Twitter account that has 1.7 million followers.
"You're walking a fine line between being incorrigibly difficult but still loveable," Mary observes of Bill's character on the sitcom. Then she asks, "Little bit of you in there?"
"Yeah. But not sure you would know," he laughs.
This show is from the creative team behind "Will & Grace," and that sold Bill on the part.
"…I really didn't want to do another series. My gamble was based on the talent of the people I would be surrounded by -- not me, but them, and it was their excellence that I chose," the star says.
Catch the premiere of "$#*! My Dad Says" Thursday evening at 8:30 on CBS.
