Plus-size bridal shopping is an emotional task but the folks at Kleinfeld Bridal do their best to help brides of all sizes find their dream dress on "Say Yes to the Dress: Big Bliss."
On tonight's epsiode, 28-year-old Adhari Fullman is looking for a dress that fits her personality. She says, "I am an in-your-face, fun, funky, fabulous girl and that is how I want to be perceived."
"Adhari likes big, wow factor dresses," Caroline Fullman, the bride's mother says. "I don't think she wants to look like the princess I want her to look like."
Her mom may be on to something because Adhari tells Audrey, her Kleinfeld fashion consultant, that she wants a dress that is sparkly, glittery and glamorous.
"If you have the curves, you need to flaunt the curves," she says.
Adhari tries on several bridal gowns, one of which gets one snap from her friends and family, but she is searching for a two-snap dress, so Audrey sends her home without a purchase, because she wants Adhari to walk down the aisle in a dress that makes her feel as glamorous as she wants to be.
Also on tonight's episode, we meet Nicole Myers, who knows the exact dress she wants because she found it in a magazine more than a year ago. Happily for her, Kleinfeld's has the dress.
But when Nicole puts it on, her mother is not convinced it is the dress, so she makes her daughter try on other gowns, even as she says, "When Nicole makes up her mind, that's it."
In the end, Nicole triumphs and gets her dream dress.
Then there is Elissa Edmunds, who saw a dress she loved on another bride and bought it without trying it on because the sample size didn't fit her. Imagine her excitement when she puts on the dress and it fits perfectly!
