"The Big Bang Theory"'s Kaley Cuoco sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and told the story of how she wound up on crutches.

"I looked and I'm like: 'Wow, my foot is facing me,'" Cuoco told the audience at "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." "And I was like: 'That's not normal!'"

During a horseback-riding lesson the actress fell off her horse. As Kaley was trying to get back on her feet, her horse jumped and landed on her leg. But the actress kept her sense of humor through the situation: she complained to Ellen that hospitals don't "give you enough morphine."

Watch "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" today to find out how Kaley's character will be written in to "The Big Bang Theory" to explain why her leg is in a cast.
