Brandy and her pro partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy have landed in the Final Five on "Dancing with the Stars," and this week they'll take on the Waltz and the Cha-Cha – without their music being available until the night of the performance!

"Scary, scary, and more scary," says the R&B singer about preparing for the Cha-Cha sans music. "This show is hard enough. Do we really need [to not know what we're going to dance to?]"

"It's like having a professional swimming competition and going, 'Hey! This week there's a little twist: We're going to throw you guys in the jello," says Maks.

Despite the curveballs thrown by the show, Brandy says, "I think being [in the] top five is amazing. It does bring about a lot of pressure, but I'm really happy that I made it this far, and I can't believe it that I'm really out there dancing every Monday, and this is a great experience I will never forget."

Maks reveals that his partner is so focused when she dances that she has no memory of what actually goes down during their live performance.

"She goes into this trance -- this 'zone,' we call it," explains Maks. "I'm trying to get her out of the zone the second the music starts every Monday. And then she blinks, and then the dance is over and she's like, 'What happened?' She has no idea what happened, she has no clue what the judges said, she just sees the scores and goes, 'Wow! Is that good?'"

"I'm not really a choreographer," jokes Maks. "This season I take the role of a puppetmaster."

"Maks is great," says Brandy in all seriousness. "He believes in me, which is a good thing. I don't think he believed in me [on] week one. … It feels good to make him feel proud and to see that proud look in his eyes, so I think we're really coming quite along. We found our niche and our zone and our chemistry. It's going good for us."
