Sarah Palin Jokes About Her Diva Image on 'Sarah Palin's Alaska'

November 08, 2010

Sarah Palin is joined by family members as she shares the joys of her home state Alaska -- from salmon fishing in Bristol Bay to hiking along one of our country's most breathtaking glaciers.

"You have to respect the elements out here. Mother Nature always wins," says Sarah, who enjoys the great outdoors. "I understand the uniqueness of this land. It is about family and community. That is what the Alaskan spirit is. I am proud of it."

Having said that, Sarah jokes about her diva image, saying, "That whole perception about being a diva cracks me up -- there's a gnat stuck to my lips.

Her perception of her life in Alaska with her family is: "I would describe me and my family as just average everyday Americans."

"Sarah Palin's Alaska" premieres Sunday, Nov. 14 at 9 p.m. on TLC.
