Late night host Jimmy Kimmel is asking Facebook users to remove those people who aren't actually their friends from their social network, on a day he has deemed National Unfriend Day.
N.U.D., as Jimmy calls it, is designed to weed out those people on Facebook that users wouldn't usually have contact with in their day-to-day lives. He gave one last plea for his cause on his show Wednesday night, referring to it as "National Unfriend Day Eve".
"Remember five years ago when no one was on Facebook and you didn’t know what the guy you took high school biology with was having for lunch, remember how that was fine? Lets go back to that," Jimmy said during one of his N.U.D. promotions. "Anyone you wouldn't give your phone number to, unfriend."
Other celebs to get behind the cause include former "Friends" star Lisa Kudrow and CNN correspondent Wolf Blitzer.
