Looking ab-tastic on the cover of Details magazine, hot "Glee" teach Matthew Morrison reveals why he's single.
"It's been a while," he says when asked about dating. "Meeting people, you wonder, 'What does this person see in me?' ... I'm not a good friend right now. I'm not a good boyfriend. It's not that I'm selfish. I'm just focused."
That focus is clearly zeroed in on his rising star. Not only is he what "Glee" creator Ryan Murphy calls "the star of the show," but he's also recording a solo album and working on a movie treatment.
He does, however, admit to a wild streak in his younger days: "There was so much opportunity. There were all these beautiful, beautiful dancers. As a straight guy, I had some room ... I definitely hooked up with a lot of girls when I was a young guy on Broadway. It was exciting. Very joyous and free."
With his Broadway background, the seasoned performer is somewhat of a role model to his young cast. "I'm a teacher to them," he says. "I've taken a few under my wing ... I find myself learning a lot from the set. I do look at stuff people on the show are doing, and I don't judge them, but I question it. I say to myself, 'Keep quiet.' Fame, you know, it's like a handgun -- in the wrong hands, it's dangerous."
The new issue of Details is out November 30.
