'The Bachelor''s Brad Womack Invites ET Into His Home

"The Bachelor"'s Brad Womack gets a second chance at love tonight with 30 new women when the mating game premieres its new season.
"I spent a long time that first night explaining what the hell happened last time and why things were different … or were going to be different," says Brad, who was greeted with a slap in the face by Chantal, the first woman out of the limo.
It was three years ago that Brad left both Jenni Croft and DeAnna Pappas in the dust at the series finale of his first go-round on "The Bachelor," making him the biggest "Bachelor" villain in the history of the show and the only one to walk away alone.
"Everyone expects the guy or the girl to wind up with somebody," he says. "I didn't know it was going to be that bad. And when I say bad … it was brutal."
Tonight, a changed Brad is back and looking for the woman who could become Mrs. Womack.
"I am much more open," the 38-year-old bar owner from Austin, TX tells ET. "Before I was guarded and a closed-off person…. I spent a lot of time trying to change."
But before Brad starts his search for love, he opened the doors to his loft to ET. It's a small, cozy space decorated in earth tones with a great view of northwest Austin, which is one of the reasons he bought it.
"The first thing you see when you walk into my place is the bar, of course," he says. "Many evenings have been spent at this bar contemplating: Why the hell am I still single?"
In addition to the previous reasons Brad gave ET for his solitary state, he admits it could also be possible it is because he spends his Saturday and Sunday afternoons watching a lot of college and pro football games. That may be something he will have to change, or maybe he will find a woman who is also a football enthusiast.
"I feel very comfortable here in my home," Brad says. "I have been here a while. Maybe I can find a wife and [I will] need a house."
