From Christian Bale's surprise birthday present to Natalie Portman's baby talk, Nancy O'Dell chatted with all the winners backstage at last night's Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Christian Bale turned 37 on Sunday and SAG made the day extra special for the actor, honoring him with their award for Outstanding Male Actor in a Supporting Role. But although the statuette has his name on it, Christian revealed that he will have to surrender ownership, saying, "It will go straight to my daughter as soon as I get home. She'll put it wherever she wants... It's not a choice in the matter. I walk in the door and she goes, 'I'll have that.'"
Natalie Portman, who was crowned Outstanding Female Actor in a Leading Role told Nancy that she had some help scrapbooking her pregnancy.
"Luckily at these events there are a lot of photographers, so they're creating my black tie moments and I'll do my sweatpants moments at home," Natalie said, giggling, still giddy from her win.
Alec Baldwin earned his fifth consecutive SAG Award on Sunday and reminisced with Nancy over past interviews with the ET host.
"Wow, I remember when this didn't used to be here," said Alec, referring to Nancy's wedding ring. "I remember when you would do an interview with Nancy O'Dell and in the back of your mind there was a flicker of hope."
The "Modern Family" clan crammed together to fit inside the camera frame and showed how much they are like a family on and off camera, holding their awards for Outstanding Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
"This is the one we wanted," said Ed O'Neill. "This is what we are. This is what the show is -- it's ensemble, so there's no best actor or whatever..."
The "Modern Family" cast may have been even more excited to see Betty White, who called attention to the statue's indecent exposure when she groped the award on stage.
"She made me realize he was naked," said Sofia Vergara.
