As one of television's longest running programs, "The Simpsons" has become a part of American culture and this Sunday the American classic is getting a British makeover.

English comedians Ricky Gervais and Russell Brand will be lending their voices to the animated comedy. Gervais returns to the show for a second time. In 2006, Gervais wrote and starred in the episode titled "Homer Simpson, This Is Your Wife" where the Simpson family participated in a wife-swapping game show.

In the new episode called "Angry Dad: The Movie," Bart creates a cartoon based on his father that wins a Golden Globe amongst other awards. Bart is disheartened when his dad Homer takes credit for the film at every chance, so much so that Bart keeps his parents in the dark when the movie gets nominated for an Academy Award. But Marge and Homer show up at the Oscars just in time to confront their son.

Brand will appear on the show for the first time and he admitted the gig wasn't exactly what he had hoped for, saying, "In 'The Simpsons' I will be playing the part of me. It's a challenging role. I know this because I have to do it every morning. I get up, I read the script that I've been offered for that day and it's always me. And when 'The Simpsons' offered me a part I thought, 'Perhaps, this will finally be an opportunity to escape me,' but 'The Simpsons' said, 'You will be playing you.'"

Regardless of the role he's playing, Russell still seemed pleased to be a part of "Simpsons" history.

"I am a massive fan of the 'The Simpsons,'" said Russell. "I've been watching it for years and years and years."

Watch Bart's sudden rise to stardom in "Angry Dad: The Movie" when "The Simpsons" airs Sunday night on FOX.
