In another webisode of "Cougar Town: Writers vs. Actors," courtesy of New York magazine's blog Vulture, Josh Hopkins attempts to prove that he writes his own songs for the show, not the writers.
"The writers say they write all my funny little songs on the show, but I write them," Hopkins insists. His castmates side with him, Courteney Cox saying "absolutely" when asked if Hopkins writes his own songs. Dan Byrd, who plays Cox's son on the show, defends the actor, saying, "100 percent. It's coming from the mind of Josh Hopkins, yes."
The writers, however, are singing a different tune. "Hell no," one writer reacts. Another writer jokes, "Did the pope write the Bible?"
Hopkins seeks to show the webisode viewers that he's telling the truth by singing a song he wrote to the tune of R. Kelly's "Ignition." Check it out and see if you think the actor is telling the truth.
