Steven Tyler Makes a Season Finale Promise for 'American Idol'

March 17, 2011

James Durbin impressed Steven Tyler so much with his rendition of Bon Jovi's "I'll Be There For You" on "American Idol" Wednesday night that Tyler struck a deal of a lifetime for the aspiring rocker.

"I don't want to spoil the Aerosmith until the finale," said Durbin after Tyler gushed about his spirited performance.

"You save it and I'll come up and sing it with you," Tyler quickly replied.

To seal the deal, Durbin approached the dais and shook Tyler's hand.

Keep watching "American Idol" Wednesday and Thursday nights on FOX to see if Tyler makes good on his promise.
