Arnold Schwarzenegger's first project since leaving office has hit a road block, ET has learned.

The animated series "The Governator," starring the former Governor of California and produced in association with comic book legend Stan Lee, has been put on hold according to a rep for the actor-turned-politician.

The decision to halt the progress of this new venture came "in light of recent events."

Earlier this week Arnold admitted to fathering a secret love child with a household staffer. Arnold's estranged wife Maria Shriver moved out of the couple's Brentwood mansion weeks prior to this news becoming public.
