Who are the "Misfits"? The U.K. show about unruly teens that become unlikely superheroes is here now on Hulu, and we've got an inside look!
In "Misfits," Lauren Socha, Robert Sheehan, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Antonia Thomas and Iwan Rheon play juvenile delinquents forced to do community service as payback for their crimes. But when a freak electrical storm hits their town, they're transformed into superheroes, each with a power they didn't choose or want that reveals each of their deepest, darkest insecurities. As they grapple with the challenges of everyday teenage life -- relationships, friendships, parents and sex -- they must band together to save their town from the evil that has descended upon it.
The entertaining "Misfits" has received awards and critical acclaim in the U.K., and even "Glee" star Kevin McHale is a fan of the show, having shared his excitement with tweets such as, "Dear Misfits (cast, creative team, crew): why are you so brilliantly amazing? you be perfect, yo. everyone is just incredible," and, "day 2 of watching misfits allllll day. can't get any better."
The first two episodes of "Misfits" season one are available now on Hulu.com. Also premiering on Hulu are the U.K. shows "The Booth at the End," a psychological thriller (on July 11), and the kitchen comedy "Whites" (on July 20).
