ET Exclusive: 'Glee' Star Jane Lynch Reveals How She Fell in Love

The resident antagonist of "Glee" showed her soft side to Vogue in a new interview, dishing on how she got married.

As an actress trying to make it in Hollywood, Jane Lynch had little time to cultivate her personal life. That is, until she landed her big role on "Glee."

"I had reached a kind of contentment," Jane said, explaining that she met her spouse Lara Embry, Ph.D. at the right time in her life. "I didn't have that driving kind of fevered ambition, that fear that I gotta take the next thing. And you go years not knowing what the next thing is. Now, when things are presented, they either feel right or they don't. And I don't take parts just to do them anymore."

The actress went on to open up about finding her sexual identity as a child growing up in Dolton, Illinois, saying, "Just like in 'Glee,' you had to be what they considered 'normal' or you got a Slushee in your face. I didn't want to be too tall. I didn't want to be too loud. I didn't want to be gay."

Jane didn't come out to her parents until she was in her thirties but her mother warmed up to the idea when she found out her daughter was marrying a clinical psychologist.
