Melanie Moore thinks she can dance and America officially agrees. With an astounding 47% of the vote, the 19-year-old Marietta, GA native won the So You Think You Can Dance title on Thursday night's season finale on Fox.

"Thank you," was all the contemporary trained dancer could mutter through tears of joy when host Cat Deeley asked if she would like to say anything. Her fellow finalists soon joined her on stage to hoist her in the air in celebration.

Sasha Mallory didn't trail far behind, earning an impressive 32% of the vote. Marko Germar placed third, and Tadd Gadduang fell just short of the podium, coming in a respectable fourth.

Judge Nigel Lythgoe predicted early on that a girl would win the competition this year. Rumors already started swirling about the bright future ahead for Melanie. On Wednesday night, Cat suggested guest judge Kenny Ortega cast the talented dancer in the remake of Dirty Dancing.

Previous finalists to go on to big tomorrows include Lacey Schwimmer and Chelsie Hightower, who both star as pros on Dancing With the Stars, and Kherington Payne, who landed the lead role in the feature film Fame and participated in the reality show The Dance Scene.

The top 10 will reunite for the nationwide So You Think You Can Dance 2011 Tour, kicking off September 17 in Orlando, FL.
