'Friends' Reunion on the 'Web'

By

Every few years talk of a Friends reunion bubbles to the surface. And while all six Central Perk-ians continue to shoot down the idea, that hasn't stopped fans from watching the ladies reunite on their other projects.

Jennifer Aniston guest starred on Courtney Cox's Dirt, while Lisa Kudrow stopped by Cougar Town. Now, Kudrow is cashing in that I.O.U. as Cox appears as a client on tonight's episode of Web Therapy. The Showtime series is the latest passion project from Kudrow, who originally launched Therapy as a webseries back in 2008. But network interest brought it to Showtime, where Kudrow and company got to have a little fun expanding the installments to fit the network's 22 minute block.

"It was a fun challenge to look at the show like a puzzle and find out what pieces were missing," Kudrow tells ETonline. As it turns out, many Hollywood heavyweights felt that they were those missing pieces as stars like Lily Tomlin, Meryl Streep and Julia Louis-Dreyfus signed up to play clients of Kudrow's Fiona Wallice. An outpouring of support that humbled the actress.

"It's like an endorsement from the top in your industry," she says. "As an actor, there's no one better or classier than Meryl [Streep]. I’ve said this before, but honestly, I feel like we’re all very lucky to be alive right now and experience, first hand, her performances. I don’t think there’s ever been as great an actor, so when people like her come on our show, it becomes so important to honor them. To make sure I’m doing my very best because we are very mindful that this has to be worthy." And while you'll have to wait a bit longer to see Meryl Streep in action, you can check out Courteney Cox's guest spot right now!
