Three NYC 'Housewives' Fired

Three of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York City have gotten the axe.

As The Huffington Post first reported, and a source confirmed to ET, Kelly Bensimon, Jill Zarin and Alex McCord have been let go from the franchise.

Bravo isn't confirming the news, however, as a spokesperson told ET Thursday, "No decisions have been made yet."

All three ladies had been hot-button personalities on the show, with Jill Zarin particularly involved in a high-profile dispute with former BFF and former Housewives star Bethenny Frankel. In recent seasons, McCord became marginalized onscreen, as she (and her husband Simon van Kempen) disputed with almost every member of the cast.

It's anyone's guess how the show will handle the ladies' exits, but on other Housewives franchises, former cast members do pop up from time to time at onscreen events.
