Culminating 150 minutes of an intense, live broadcast, The X Factor whittled a massive pool of talent down to the final 12 of the competition last night.
With three acts a piece, Simon, Nicole, L.A. Reid and Paula expressed great satisfaction with their group, although they couldn't help but mourn the great talent they left behind.
"There were contestants along the way that we wished that we'd kept," said L.A. Reid. "I wish we could have kept Jasmine Little. I didn't like losing Phillip Lomax, that didn't feel great. But yes, we're in good shape."
L.A. Reid will take on the task of mentoring the boys: Astro (15), Marcus Canty (20), Chris Rene (28), while Simon Cowell will oversee the girls: Melanie Amaro (19), Rachel Crow (13), Drew (14).
Nicole Scherzinger has the following over 30's: LeRoy Bell (60), Stacy Francis (42), Josh Krajcik (30), and Paula Abdul will mentor the groups: InTENsity, Lakoda Rayne, The Stereo Hogzz.
The final 12 will perform for America's vote on another live show Wednesday, November 2 on FOX.
