Piers Morgan announced on Wednesday night that he will be leaving NBC's America's Got Talent after six years of occupying the show's panel of judges.

"Turned out that juggling's harder than it looks, so I'm going to focus on CNN," tweeted Piers.

Piers also issued an on-air announcement during which he jokingly congratulated his AGT cohorts Howie Mandel, Sharon Osbourne and Nick Cannon, whom Piers claimed "will doubtless be very relieved to learn they no longer have to work with me."

"Piers please don't go," Sharon later tweeted.

Piers kept his AGT gig even after taking over Larry King's timeslot on CNN with his talk show Piers Morgan Tonight. Now it seems the TV personality will be dedicating more time to his duties at CNN.

"Big thanks to NBC, Fremantle, and of course, my friend Simon Cowell, for giving me such a great opportunity," Piers tweeted. "It's been a blast."
