Shue will play the newest investigator on the team, who was previously fired from D.B. Russell's (Ted Danson) team in Seattle but has since dealt with her anger management issues.

"Elisabeth's character will share a past, in another crime lab, with Ted Danson's character," executive producer Don McGill said in a press release. 'The first time things didn't go so well between the two of them. Maybe the second time's the charm, or not."

Shue's addition will fill in an empty spot since it's been reported that Marg Helenberger will leave the hit series in January. As for Shue, her first episode is scheduled to air on February 15, 2012.
