Emily Maynard Confirmed as 'Bachelorette'

After weeks of rumors, it's confirmed -- fan favorite Emily Maynard will be ABC's newest Bachelorette.
Maynard will get her second shot at love after breaking off her engagement to Bachelor Brad Womack last June. The 25-year-old single mother (she has a six-year-old daughter named Ricki) will have her pick of 25 bachelors on season 8 of The Bachelorette, premiering this spring on ABC.

"We fell in love with [Maynard] on Brad's season," Bachelor/Bachelorette host Chris Harrison announced on Good Morning America. She will also be the popular show's very first single mom, which according to Harrison will create "an interesting social dynamic."
