Following an unforgettable night of songs from the 80's, one more contestant got the axe this week on American Idol. If you don't want to know who was eliminated, read no further!
Right off the bat, Jessica Sanchez and Joshua Ledet were granted safety, followed soon by Colton Dixon, Skylar Laine and Phillip Phillips.
Deandre Brackensick, Hollie Cavanagh and Elise Testone ultimately formed the bottom three this week, and despite being a long-standing favorite of Lopez, DeAndre was told he would have to sing for his tonight.
Unfortunately, the judges declined to use their save on 17-year-old, but Lopez later revealed that she had opted to keep DeAndre in the competition, but had been out-voted by her peers.
Initially chosen to be in the Top 13 as a "Wild Card" finalist, DeAndre consistently scored high praise for his performances. Just last night, judge Steven Tyler exalted the singer for starting off the show with a bang with his crowd pleasing rendition of DeBarge's 1982 hit, I Like It.
Tune in next week to see the final seven compete when American Idol returns Wednesday on FOX.
