
Woody & Matt to Track Killer as 'True' Detectives

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will re-team for the small screen in an eight-part cable series called True Detective.

According to Deadline.com, the show centers on two detectives "whose lives collide and entwine during a 17-year hunt for a serial killer in Louisiana. The investigation of a bizarre murder in 1995 is framed and interlaced with testimony from the detectives in 2012, when the case has been reopened."
The show concept sets out to resolve the mystery within the eight episodes, then return for following seasons with new characters and storylines while maintaining the same structure. Jane Eyre director Cary Fukunaga is set to helm the first season's eight episodes. At this stage, True Detective does not have a network home just yet…
