President Barack Obama appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night to discuss some political issues in front of a crowd of students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, but also took a brief moment to react to the ongoing Secret Service scandal.
"These guys are incredible," Mr. Obama established. "99.9 percent of them--every day they're putting their life on the line [and] they do a great job. So, a couple of knuckleheads shouldn't detract from what they do, but what these guys were thinking--I don't know. That's why they're not there any more."
According to CBS This Morning, six of the 12 agents identified in the scandal are no longer working for the Secret Service due to resignation or firing after a prostitution scandal in Colombia prior to the president's visit.
The President, who primarily focused on his goal to make student loans more affordable, also briefly talked about Republican candidate Mitt Romney, saying, "I've met him, but we're not friends." Mr. Obama also acknowledged Romney's wife, Ann, as "lovely."
Romney, who is shaping up to clinch the Republican GOP nomination, will square off against President Obama this November for a seat in the Oval Office.
