Will Ann Romney Go on 'SNL'?

April 26, 2012

Kristen Wiig skewers Ann Romney on Saturday Night Live, and our own Nancy O'Dell is with the wife of presumptive GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney to find out if she'd ever appear on the long-running NBC sketch show, and if Mitt can enjoy a laugh at his own expense.

"That has never even crossed my mind. … Yes, of course, that would be a great thrill," says Ann about appearing SNL, adding that she's never seen Wiig's impression of her. "No one has ever thought about me. I'm not funny. You could probably laugh at me a lot, though. "

Kristen herself has invited Ann to the show, and Ann thinks her husband should make an appearance too.

"I think he should," she says. "I'll weigh in on that one. Who knows when he'll do it or how, but you know, I think at some point I think it would be odd and fun for him to do that."

Ann adds about the skits that skewer the Romneys, "Over the weekend we heard about it -- our kids e-mailed us about it and we laughed about it."

"Actually, Mitt is a very funny guy," she continues. "He doesn't comb his hair when we're, you know, not going places. It's like all over the place. … Maybe we need to take a picture of what he really looks like when he's not working."

On a more serious note, Ann gets candid with Nancy about her debilitating M.S. attack, her health issues and the surprising therapy she uses to get back into a healthy rhythm. Watch the video…
