The life of Dr. Sanjay Gupta (CNN's chief medical correspondent) is being turned into a weekly scripted TV series, headed up by iconic TV producer David E. Kelley (Chicago Hope, Picket Fences, Ally McBeal) and launching on TNT summer 2013.
Titled Monday Mornings and starring Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina and Jamie Bamber, the series takes place at the fictional Chelsea General Hospital in Portland, Ore. and follows a group of doctors as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings.
The series is inspired by Dr. Gupta's books, and he also serves as executive producer on the 10-episode series.
