Summer's here, and although some of our favorite shows may be taking a break, there is plenty of great programming to keep you entertained while you escape the heat indoors.
After just two weeks, The Newsroom is already a standout, receiving it's season two renewal in record time. The dramatic new series airs Sundays on HBO, and comes from The Social Network's Aaron Sorkin. The indisputable Emmy-contender stars Jeff Daniels as a cable news anchor alongside Emily Mortimer, his executive producer on the show and his boss, Sam Waterston fighting the daily battle to deliver the news despite personal and corporate struggles.
Fan favorite True Blood was also feeling the love from HBO this week. The fang-tastic series secured a renewal for it's sixth season, ensuring rabid fans will have plenty more bloody good shenanigans to look forward to.
Fans of Whose Line is it Anyway? will love Trust Us With Your Life, debuting Tuesday, July 10th on ABC. The improv comedy program brings back Whose Line favorites such as Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Greg Proops, Brad Sherwood, Fred Willard and Nicole Parker to play along with celebrity guests Ricky Gervais, Serena Williams and Jack and Kelly Osbourne in upcoming episodes.
Another one to look forward to is ABC's Beverly Hills Nannies. The docu-series premieres Wednesday, July 11, and shines a humorous spotlight on the behind-the-scenes drama of caretakers servicing the exclusive zip code's little ones.
