After news broke Friday night that several members of the Modern Family cast had resolved their contract dispute with ABC, they started production on season four of the hit sitcom on Monday morning.
Sofia Vergara tweeted the above photo on Monday morning, posing with her on-screen son Rico Rodriguez, and writing, "First scene of the season!!! Back in LA for Modern Family!!!"

Vergara and her co-stars Julie Bowen, Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet reportedly went from making about $65,000 per episode to up to $170,000 or $175,000 including bonuses, plus back-end funds, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Ed O'Neill had previously been making significantly more than the other five primary players, but will now make about the same, except for additional back-end funds. They also all added a year to their existing contracts, signing on for an eighth season, in which they'll reportedly make about $350,000 per episode.
It was revealed in the show's third season finale that Sofia's character is pregnant, which will no doubt unlock numerous comedic opportunities as Jay (Ed O'Neill) prepares to be a new father during mid-life, and Claire (Julie Bowen) and Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) welcome a baby brother or sister who will be younger than their own children.
