Stars Earn Stripes takes a new spin on reality television as it challenges celebrities to earn their stripes as they execute military-inspired missions. As celebrity Nick Lachey discovers as he crawls through mud, it's no walk in the park.

In the series premiere of the new show, Lachey undergoes a mission that requires him and his operative partner Tom Stroup to crawl through a field of mud under a barbed wire fence, which he struggles to complete.

"The mud, the muck is so thick that even crawling through it is exhausting," Lachey says in a later interview. "There [are] explosions going off. It's absolute chaos. I looked over at Tom and stopping was not an option for him."

The upcoming series, which is hosted by former Entertainment Tonight correspondent and Dancing with the Stars co-host Samantha Harris, features eight celebrities that are all paired with a member of the U.S. military branch or a police officer as they embark on the difficult military-inspired exercises.

Joining Lachey on the celebrity cast are: actor Dean Cain, Biggest Loser trainer Dolvett Quince, professional wrestler Eve Torres, former boxer Laila Ali, Olympic skier Picabo Street, Expendables actor Terry Crews, and former First Gentleman of Alaska Todd Palin.

While a few of the celebrities express anxiety and intimidation as they meet their professional partners and embark upon their first journeys, Terry Crews says that he is excited to bring some of his on-screen stunts into reality.
