Gordon Ramsay has encountered some unforgettably nauseating things in the kitchen over the years on Hell's Kitchen, but the British chef is in for a new spectrum of unpleasant surprises when he takes on hotels in his new show Hotel Hell.

In the show's premiere episode, Ramsay is astonished when he has a "committee of cockroaches" join him in the bathroom, but finds something even more repulsive when it's time to examine the bed with a UV light.

"It's like a f***ing galaxy," Ramsay says after unveiling a mass of stains on the mattress. The hotel owner and the others present in the room verbally express their disgust with the filthy mattress.

"'Hotel Hell' is all about a hotel that's got itself in a serious, dire situation," he says of the new show, which he also co-produces. "[We're] putting it right and, more importantly, thinking about the customers' experience as opposed to the owners'."

In addition to be astonished at what he discovers with his eyes, Ramsay's nose is also astonished when hit with a putrid odor inside of the room in which he is assigned to stay. As you can imagine, he isn't shy about passing along his discontent to the owner of the "horrific" smell.

In a similar format of his show Kitchen Nightmares, the ultimate goal of the hotel inspection show is to discover the problems but also aid in reviving the business.

"'Hotel Hell' will have maybe a floor or half-dozen rooms refurb[ished] at the time," Ramsay says. "The idea there, of course, is to show them the potential, and as things generate and the cash flow gets more and more positive, then they can do a floor at a time."
