As a Dancing with the Stars crowd favorite, Kirstie Alley didn't hide her eagerness to win the competition, which she fell short of on season 12. Her upcoming return to the program begs the question: What would she do for a mirror ball trophy?

"Can we please skip that question?" said pro-partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy as Kirstie snickered mischievously.

After taking a second to consider her answer, the actress finally decided on a politically correct answer: "I would work really hard," she replied.

"First of all, I was very flattered that they asked me to come back," said Kirstie. "I did say no right in the beginning because I couldn't fathom doing it again, because it's sort of excruciating."

Lest we attribute Kirstie's assessment to her advancing age, Olympian Shawn Johnson affirmed the 61-year-old's sentiments.

"It's incredibly demanding," admitted Shawn, who explained that dancing is a completely different activity than she's used to. "It's a lot harder than you think."

Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars premieres Monday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET, followed by the premiere of Dancing with the Stars the Results Show on Tuesday, September 25 on ABC.
