After much speculation on who ABC's next Bachelor will be, the wait is finally over.

ABC has just confirmed that the next candidate looking for love is none other than Sean Lowe, the Dallas businessman who won over fans despite falling short of getting Emily Maynard's final rose on The Bachelorette last season.

Lowe was second runner-up, and lost out to Utah entrepreneur Jef Holm.

Rumors on who the next bachelor on ABC's successful franchise would be have been rampant in the past month, with even Olympian Ryan Lochte's name getting thrown into the mix.

No doubt many fans will be pleased with this decidedly less-sensationalistic approach!
