McKayla Maroney is vaulting herself into the world of acting, making her screen debut in Hart of Dixie for a two-episode arc.

The two-time Olympic medalist says, "My whole entire life I've been working to become an Olympian. I became a gold medalist and now, you know, kind of my next goal is to get into acting."

In this behind-the-scenes footage, the gymnast makes her signature "unimpressed" face with the cast as she assumes her role as Tonya, Rose Hattenbarger's (played by McKaley Miller) best friend. Rachel Bilson certainly was impressed by the athlete's acting chops. "I thought McKayla did an awesome job. She's a natural," assessed the star.

Shortly after bringing home gold, McKayla visited a slew of other television sets including Two and a Half Men and Pretty Little Liars. She wasn't the only athlete to go Hollywood. Teammate Gabrielle Douglas stopped by her favorite show The Vampire Diaries, while fellow Olympian Ryan Lochte guest starred on 90210 and 30 Rock. Missy Franklin, meanwhile, landed a part on Pretty Little Liars and a cameo in the film The Internship.
