Canadian actor Nolan Gerard Funk makes his Glee
debut Thursday, and ET Canada
caught up with the star who dished on how a chance encounter with Cory Monteith may have been the boost he needed to score the gig.
"I ran into Cory the night before my audition for Glee," said Funk, who's buddies with the star. "Maybe he was the luck involved in getting the job."
On the show, Funk will play the new head of the Dalton Academy Warblers, Hunter Clarrington, who Funk describes as "really entitled" and "very authoritative."
"This character's definitely not boring, and when he's onscreen he's making an impact," said Funk.
Funk makes his Glee debut tonight at 9/8c on FOX. You can also catch him on the big screen next year, starring opposite Lindsay Lohan in the psycho-sexual thriller The Canyons.
"That was a wild ride of a movie," said Funk. "I'm definitely excited to see how it turns out."
