ET Exclusive: Can 'Mad Men' Cast Keep a Secret?

Despite our subtle attempts at bribery**, the cast of Mad Men managed to keep a lid on the secrets of season six during their most recent junket, dutiful to the marching orders of show mastermind Matthew Weiner.

While we were able to get some broad strokes about the upcoming season from Jon Hamm, Elisabeth Moss, John Slattery, Jessica Pare, January Jones, Kiernan Shipka and Vincent Kartheiser, what turned out to be more amusing were their (by now expected) repeated attempts to redirect or simply shut down any questions about what's coming up on the hit AMC series.

Members of the press were given screeners of the two-hour Mad Men premiere episode of season six, airing Sunday April 7, along with strict instructions (a signed letter from Weiner himself) imploring us not to reveal the year the season begins; the status of Don and Megan's relationship; whether the agency has expanded to an additional floor; new characters; and new relationships or partnerships.

"I know you are aware how strongly I feel that the viewers are entitled to have the same experience as you when they watch a new episode for the first time," writes Weiner. "My goal every season is first and foremost to entertain the audience, and I know that this is best accomplished when key storylines are not revealed in advance."

The gracious cast of Mad Men are truly professional --- and polite – when it comes to keeping a secret. At least they were pleased to get a free bottle of "hooch," as January Jones called it, to get them through another Mad Men junket. Bottoms up!
